Handicraft Exhibition with Mythical Pets

The handicraft art exhibition "Encountering Adorable Mythical Pets" by Jīn Shí Handcrafts draws inspiration from mythical creatures in the Chinese classic Shan Hai Jing (The Classic of Mountains and Seas). By skillfully blending modern colors and culture with meticulous sculpting techniques, these ancient legendary creatures are vividly brought to life, infusing traditional mythology with renewed vitality.
These spiritual animals are not merely works of art — they are symbols of protection and blessings, conveying a harmonious vision of coexistence between humanity and nature, as well as a deep respect and affection for life. As gifts of good fortune, the spiritual animals offer a unique artistic experience while embodying wishes for auspiciousness, protection, and happiness.

About Jīn Shí Handcrafts
"Jīn Shí Handcrafts" is a brand founded by twin brothers born in Beijing in the 1970s. The younger brother, Lěi, has been captivated by Shan Hai Jing since childhood, with its fantastical animals and myths deeply influencing his artistic creations. After over 20 years in design, he finally realized his vision of these mythical creatures through sculpting, transforming them into modern, lovable spiritual companions.

While mythical animals traditionally exude mystery and majesty, Jīn Shí Handcrafts imbues them with new life—retaining their classic traits while adding childlike innocence and vitality. Their bright colors and adorable forms evoke a sense of renewal, reminiscent of "buds just sprouting," fostering a warm connection between humanity and nature and soothing the fatigued hearts of modern life.

Protection and Blessings
Jīn Shí Handcrafts uses environmentally friendly materials like polymer clay, avoiding any animal fur elements.
Each piece is handcrafted, carefully baked, painted, and finished with distinctive techniques, making every creation a one-of-a-kind art piece.
These spiritual animals are not only charming artworks but also messengers of protection and happiness. Whether for personal collection or gifting, they carry heartfelt wishes and prayers for good fortune.
